Inland Sea Oats is one of the few native grasses that will thrive in a shaded
environment often seen growing along creek and river banks. Inland Sea Oats is a
rhizomatous clump forming perennial grass with characteristic drooping seed heads.
Plants can reach 4 feet in height but are often much shorter 1' to 2' feet tall.
Even though Inland Sea Oats prefers a moist, shaded environment plants can tolerate
exposure to direct sunlight but will require additional moisture to survive.
The seed heads are often used in dry floral arrangements.
A true shade loving plant that will return each year once established!
